A Community Comes Together

Building support to Design, Authorize, Build and Maintain a new trail system in the Grand Valley.

A new, connected trail system

The Fremont Trail System would connect to a large network of existing trails expanding the greater system’s value.

Targeted toward riders

The system is designed to provide the riding experience favored by the riders who put in the most user days.

Designed for loops

Designed with a hub, spoke and rim layout, the new system offers hundreds of loop options within the system.

Offering park features

Design to have intermediate through advanced trails with naturally constructed park features that fill in a gap of riding options in the Valley.

Managed for singletrack

The existing management plans designate this area as part of RMZ-1 to be managed as a singletrack recreation area.

Linked to a larger network

The new system would be connected to the Lunch Loops and Third Flats trail systems making for easy connections.

Connected to resources

The proposed system is connected to four existing trailheads with parking and pit toilets.

Upon completion, the Fremont Trail System project will help drive important economic opportunities for Grand Junction and the entire Grand Valley. The new trails will add to existing trail systems and provide for longer loop opportunities and a greater range of exercise options. Additionally, the development of a new trail system will help renew interest in Grand Valley mountain biking and re-instill a sense of pride in our trails resources and enhance our identity as a world destination for trails.
